Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is covered in the intro talks?
The Welcome to Retirement talks cover how pension and retirement systems generally operate, which government agencies hold relevant information, and what types of documents people typically need to gather. Everything is kept educational — we explain processes and point you to official sources rather than advising on individual situations.
Do I need to bring anything to the Document Helpdesk?
Just bring whatever documents you have on hand — or even just a list of what you think you might need. We will work through it with you, help you sort and label what you have, and give you a checklist to track what still needs to be gathered. There is nothing to prepare in advance.
How often do the Information Circle gatherings happen?
Members typically meet twice a month throughout the year. Sessions cover different topics each time, and updated reference materials are shared between meetings. The calendar is sent to members at the start of each month so you can plan ahead.
Do you give legal or financial advice during sessions?
No — and we are clear about that from the start. Ripenest provides education and organisational support only. When a question calls for professional legal or financial expertise, we will tell you plainly and suggest you speak with a qualified adviser. We will never overstate what we can do.
Are the sessions suitable if my Thai is limited?
Sessions are run in English. Printed materials are also provided in English. If you need specific language support, let us know when you enquire and we will do our best to help.
What is the pricing and how do I pay?
The Intro Talk series is ฿3,600, the Document Helpdesk session is ฿11,000, and the Year-Round Information Circle membership is ฿23,000 per year. Payment details are shared when you confirm your place. We accept bank transfer and cash at our Hat Yai office.
